Is it possible?

Today on is it possible 2 ideas....

1. Creatures that hang from the ceiling or can walk on the ceiling or walls but also can walk on the floor. Is it possible?

2. Can you make creatures that stick to the shadows or hide in the shadows use the shadows for cover. Is it possible?

I realize this would take new animations. I just want to know if the idea is possible?

Also is anyone working on implementing new creatures into fallout? I know MMM does something like this but uses vanilla meshes. I'm talking about completely new beasts.

Well thats all for is it possible... Good Day to you sir.

It is very possible to make completely new creatures. But it takes a lot of time ... At least a handful of hours if you want to incorporate numerous amounts of animations.

I don't know if 1 or 2 is possible though. 2 is unlikely i think.

Very sorry i can't offer much than this.

I don't know about 1. & 2. but my guess is "no". NPCs/Creatures need navmeshes to "navigate" and I doubt those can be placed on the ceiling.

If they stay at the ceiling (like hanging there) it's possible, e.g. ceiling-turrets. they are just placed higher

Implementing new meshes for creatures should be possible, too, you only need the right skeleton and the mesh for it. (when creating creatures you can choose the skeleton in the GECK which brings up a list of usable meshes for that certain skeleton.)

I am not a real expert on making creatures but this is probably my best work. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRJFMWRNaC0

I actually have quite a few ideas for creatures as well as a mod to implement them but still working on other things as well as perfecting story on the mod part and naming the creatures. I will take you up on you offer though.

How about a new idle that makes the creature look like its eating the dead. Is it possible? For example creature just killed something or theres something already dead. Creature goes over crouches and starts eating it, or looks like its eating at least.

The animation would be possible, but I think it would be very hard for the creature to actually line up to the body (e.g. it'll just look like it is eating the floor or something similiar.)

@ tonyasolovyo that what i was thinking is how would u bind the 2 together i know the animation is possible.

Hmmmm...Breeze is working on a rig that will allow 2 skeletons to be used at the same time. I.e. animate one skeleton to do something to the other skeleton. Would it be possible to expand upon this and make it so that it would add the skeleton to the dead body? Or because the body is a container it wouldnt work? then again a body still has its skeleton data after death...You could also probably add sneak attacks as well as throwing attacks with this double rig? I.E. Sneak up behind someone it would ask to do sneak attack activate some kind of activator then it locks the camera in a certain angle and shows the animation of you grabbing doods face and slitting throat but from a different camera angle then over the shoulder?. Kinda like a real time vats without the whole vats thing. If i member there was a kinda sneak attack like that in oblivion with its own activator. Is that possible? Kinda off track but it applies to main topic as well.
