Fixed (RETAIL US disk f03, pit/op anchorage, and broken steel/point lo

First, here's my list of data files per the f03launcher after the fix:

 

Ankorage.esm (Retail us disk)

BrokenSteel.esm (Retail US disk)

Fallout3.esm (Retail US disk)

FlagsVault.esm (personal mod)

KillableKids.esm (downloaded mod)

PointLookout.esm (Retail US disk)

SomePoses.esm (downloaded mod)

ThePit.esm (Retail US disk)

 

The load order is all FO3 - FOMM is not installed.

 

... and second, here's the steps I took to get this thing working:

 

1) Installed FO3 in custom directory (E:/Fallout 3).

2) Defraged, rebooted, launched f03.

3) Played FO3 up until exiting Vault 101, saved game, exited.

 

ISSUES: NONE

 

4) Set up achiveinvalidation, added FlagsVault.esm (personal mod), added KillableKids.esm, SomePoses.esm, and Type V Dimonized Body with alternate textures (all downloaded here).

4) Installed patch 1.6.

5) Installed The Pit/Operation Anchorage.

6) Installed Broken Steel/Point Lookout.

7) Launched FO3.

 

RESULTS: No delay in VATS (something's gotta be wrong - this should appear at least after patch 1.4), level cap message received (Broken Steel), Flags Vault message received, mods to character and textures are fine.

 

ISSUES: No other messages received.

 

8) Exited and relaunched FO3, verified F03launcher->data files.

 

ISSUES: Files do not retain their checkmarks after exiting to launcher main menu.

 

9) Relaunched FO3 and verified in-game Settings->Display, and exited.

 

ISSUES: version 1.0.0.1

 

10) Reinstall patch 1.6 from disk, relaunched FO3.

11) Verified FO3launcher->data files.

 

RESULTS: All files are checked and stay that way.

 

12) Launched FO3.

 

RESULTS: Settings->Display = version 1.6.0.3, The Pit signal received, Point Lookout message received, new quest "The Local Flavor" added, Distress signal received, new quest "Aiding the Outcasts" received.

 

ISSUES: VATS DELAY! (an approximate 1-1.5 second delay in VATS before the user can select body parts for targeting).
