svrptw
Hey everyone, I bought Oblivion GOTY Edition Deluxe off Steam a couple weeks ago, and just lately have gotten into using mods. I dl OOO, some enhanced terrain texture one, and some minor stuff, then decided to try downloading UV. At first I thought that the compatibility patch for OOO was all I needed, and so downloaded and installed it. Then I realized that I needed the main file too (duh), along with the Unofficial patches, OBSE, Nifscript, and Pluggy, so I downloaded and installed, them, then dl UV. I unpacked it all, updated the ini, checked the .esp and .esm, and then started Oblivion... and nothing new happened. I don't know what I did wrong. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks. Ambientan
Make sure you're running the game from 'obse_loader.exe' otherwise any mods that use OBSE will not work.UV can be a pain to get working sometimes, just make the .esp load last, re-check to make sure other people haven't found incompatibilities in the comments etc.
svrptw
I don't think that I have any incompatibilities, since there are no CTDs or missing meshes and textures or anything like that. I think it might be because I don't use the obse_loader.exe, but I don't know because I read the readme and it appeared that you didn't need to use that .exe with the Steam version of Oblivion. I actually read it over a couple times because it seemed strange that it would work like that. I'll try using the .exe then. :thanks:
malonn
You have to load Oblivion from OBSE for the scripting functions to work.
svrptw
Well, I got it to work, but without the obse_loader.exe. Turned out I had placed some of the .dlls that came with Pluggy and OBSE in the wrong places, and simply had to replace them. Thanks for replying
