Horizontal lines all over screen

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I'm getting horrible horizontal lines all over my modded Fallout3 screen. New Vegas, Skyrim, Oblivion and all other modded games are fine - it's just FO3. Playing on 'Ultra' settings, and no other setting makes any difference. When I held the Print Screen key in to take these shots, the problem temporarily wnet away unitl I let go of the Prt Scrn key. Very strange!

Any ideas what could be wrong please?

ctrl + and I was able to see the text. ok uninstall the mod in it's entirety "cimatech" and down bellow ,disable /uncheck and move out of the data folder in a safe place "fellout and it's siblings".

Uninstall, Directors chair in the same way, fully.

run and test graphics.

now B4 we go any further, there better not be an ENB running because if there is? that's your bug. I have read and tested all versions of ENB series to date, the warnings posted on the authors web site too. you , as the user ,take the risk of what you see and tear up if you can not run things like this, it's the PC's hardware that says "Nope!", can run it.

I have 3 machines now, one of them is the exact same model of the inventors so I can test his data and the same rig. against the games used. the others do not ever see things like this.

just covering a lot of ground up front. so if not? disregard.

Thanks for the help, Kitty.

I'm new to modding, and am afraid I've no idea what ENB means.

I've now disabled all mods and still the lines. I've tried running the game from FOSE and from standard Fallout .exe, but still the same.

Going to try a completely clean install to see what happens.

I think NMM has its files and mod locations mixed-up. Is there any way to delete everything FO3 from the NMM so I can start from scratch?

Finding this whole modding game very frustrating. Spending more time trying to fix problems than I am playing my games!

I highly suggest you look up the support forums for Nmm, because my test rig is occupied at the moment, will be for 10 more hours too.

it has Nmm latest installed, minus the error it makes with "game" directory creation.

I don't use nmm, I use Mod organizer. less headaches for what I do, you can use what ever is best for you.

what sort of monitor do you have? what kind of graphics card is it too? are the drivers up to date?

I've fixed it! God knows how. Spent an entire day faffing about now!

I'm using a 50" HDTV as a monitor (via HDMI cable), and setting the PC display via nVidia Control Panel to a certain resolution, and tweaking the fallout prefs.ini 'iSize=' option to match that resolution has sorted the problem. Strange how I've never had to do this for any other game.

Thanks very much for taking the time to reply and help out Kitty. Really appreciated.
