Fallout 3 Crash/Lose Control Fix (XP)

I had been searching the internet for over a month for a solution

to my copy of Fallout 3 crashing, and if not that, losing control

of my character. :wallbash:

 

First you must download this:

It is a program that enables you to enable and disable certain

codecs in you system, not delete them

 

Disable The Following:

 

RealPlayer Audio Filter

Sipro Lab Telecom Audio Codec

vp6vfw.dll

vp6vfw.dll (repeat intended, there are two)

WIA Stream Snapshot Filter

IVF Source Filter

CinePak Codec by Radius Inc.

DSP Group TrueSpeech Audio Codec

ACELP.net Sipro Lab Audio Decoder

 

These were the codec in my system that were causing crashes and lockups

 

I really hope this helps everyone with crashing and freezing problems.
