aceball69
so your saying you've checked this <---LINK page out? It has a handful of helpful visuals to help. If you don't get it the first time you can always learn by reviewing the default dialogue and quests with specific dialogue to see how it was done. Then try reading the tutorial (above link) again to see if you understand more than what you originally did. This is how it worked for me with scripting... my brain finally decided to understand. David Brasher
Learning dialog and quest-writing is rather difficult, and the tutorials are poor. The above link is about as good as I have found. You might try reverse-engineering and experimentation. Take an existing mod, or a vanilla quest, and mess it up and play with it. (If you do this to an existing mod, be sure you have a backup that you don't save over. If you do it with the vanilla game, it is no problem, you just disable your mod and everything you messed up will return to normal.) If you are getting into the dialog and questing business, you are going to need to be careful. In your short post above, you included about 10 typographical errors. You need to use the spell-checker, proofread your lines of text (because spell-checkers miss half of the errors,) and use a physical or on-line dictionary when necessary. You might try just jumping in and starting your mod. Go as far as you can until you get stuck. Then ask for help. Then go as far as you can again before asking for help. That way you will have highly specific and answerable questions for people to help you with. If you have such a question, feel free to send a Personal Message to me.
