Shayneyeaman
I recently purchased DAO Ultimate edition on steam and it comes with all the DLC. i then went through multiple links and files trying to mod the game. downloaded the DAO modmanager thing and what ever else was in the Utilities section. i even purchased a month membo to enable all downloads. Im starting to think that its having issue's because of Windows 8. im just looking for a step to step instructions on what to do. i dont have any of the DAU things. i only can manage to find the packages/core/overide folder in the dragonage section of my documents and even trying to drag and drop files that have been unziped into that folder has had no effect. lets just assume im new to modding so any help would be appreciated. Thandal
a) There is no need to "purchase" anything here on the Nexus just to download mods. EVERYTHING on the Nexus is free to everyone. We do ask that you *register* (become a member) in order to download files over 2MB, but there is no charge for that basic membership. People who make a voluntary contribution to the sites are rewarded with the title "Premium" members, and have a few perks, (like uncapped download speeds.) That's all. b) There are many different types of mods for Dragon Age. The mod authors give explicit instructions on how to install theirs in the mod Descriptions. Did you read the ones for the mods you're trying to use? c) None of the available managers (DAM, DAMM, NMM, or even the built in DAUpdater) can handle all the different types. And no one can give you any help at all unless you say which mods you're talking about. Even then, beyond what the authors have already provided, no one is going to give you a "step-by-step", since so much depends on your exact set-up. It's your job to learn how to mod your game. d) Dragon Age, and the mods for Dragon Age, work fine with Windows 8/8.1, (and Win7, and even WinXP.) e) Have you read this article: Using Dragon Age Mods for Dummies ?
