Holyreign
Is it necessary to put the text documents of a Mod file into the data file or will that just cause problems in game? David Brasher
Fredyzg is correct. You do not need to put readmes, screenshots, conflict logs or any of that stuff into the data directory to make the mod work. If you put them there, it will not harm your game, but it clutters things up. What you do need to put in the right place are esp. files, bsa. files, Textures, Meshes, Sounds, and such. bben46
When I download a file I create a new folder in my 'downloaded/oblivion folder with the name of the file as the new folder name. Then I keep any extra unneeded stuff there, such as a readme or a picture that was included in the download. Along with the original zipped file - just in case I need it again. My downloads folder is actually on a separate drive that I also use for backups.
