Issue with OBMM

I have my Active/inactive mods in the left window area on OBMM, then it put my new mods in the window on the right. I've tried several things to activate the mods, so how do I get OBMM to activate them?

first open the mod and check it out, some mods have multiple option, rezip it and then do this:

ok,click create omod, add the mod name and author where indicated.

then click add archive, the mod will then be broken down automatically. When its ready you'll see some writing in the big box under file path

Then click create omod, answer yes and omod will be created.

you'll get a green square in your mod list, click on it and then click activate!

all done! mod is now active

when i first downloaded them i followed you directions above to a T, but one issue was archiving, when i attempted to archive it just had me search in folders, at that point i was lost, but i did change them to omod and they were activated. idk what i couldve done wrong if I added the other mods exactly the same way and they work. I strip the folders down in winRAR and add meshes, textures, etc. then I double-check my data folder for missing files, then i check obmm to see if it went thru. i just dont know why those files went where they did and the others didn't.
