dezdimona Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 Black roses ona casket,Black roses onthe ground Has you soulrebelled from you,has it allbut gone? Black roses smelloh so sweet, but what dothey convey? misery and lossof life,or so thelonely say. Black roses inthe sunlight, petals all unfurled, sweet aroma ofdecayspread all acrossthe world Black roses given in mourning, laid down atyour feet Black roses heldin high esteem'as your heartskips a beat. Black roses setupon my new grave, and tattooed acrossmy back. Were they givenfor loves goneby,or given foremotions that Ilack? Black roses dripa nectar ofblood red,Black roses given to my love, from a heartso dead. Black roses bloomin the fullmoons glare,Black roses givento the one. Black roses do give my soulcomfort, and am Ithe only one?

species5478 Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 It seems to me...that this doesn't describe black roses, but instead their personality, as though humanized. Their interaction with the human world involves tragedy, misery, and dark emotions. Their presence is like that of the grim reaper. Dark not because of their color, but what their presence conveys.
