My Fallout 3 Load Order

Hi, I was woundering if anyone could, look at this and tell me if this load order will cause me problems later on, I without a hitch created a merg file via FO3 Edit but something tells me I did'nt get it right and I'm very new to installing mods. Let me know what you think, I can load Falout 3 no problems thus far.

Spirithorse, just a few suggestions to help smooth your load order out...

 

1. ESM's should always be loaded before ESP's.

Therefore, you need to move FO3 Wanders Edition.esm and Mart's Mutant Mod.esm. I would also suggest loading all the FO3 DLC's right after the CALIBR esm.

 

2. Since you are using the FOOK2 version of EVE, you don't need and shouldn't use the EVE stand alone esp's. In my experience, this created a conflict and a lot of CTD's. Use one or the other.

 

3. The FOOK2 - Main.esp needs to load before the other FOOK2 esp's.

 

4. FOOK2 beta version 1.3b includes the autoaim.esp and fix therefore you don't need your separate autoaim fix.esp.

 

5. My_Megaton_House should be loaded after Mart's Mutant Mod files and after the compatibility patches.

 

6. In my experience I have found that loading all the compatibility patches at the end of my load order works the best. After them, I place my "mergered patch".

 

7. Just a reminder, in order for the WeaponModKits mod to work properly, you need to run a merged patch of those files plus FO3.esm, the DLC esm's and any other mods you want as part of the merge.

 

For reference, I've attached a copy of my latest load order. I'm sure it's not perfect and could use some tweaking, but it may help you in deciding on your load order.

This is a merged compilation of a number of excellent standalone mods that have been tweaked and customized to work with FOOK2. These are the mods that add immersion, challenge, playability and improved detail to FO3.

so there's a stand alone w.ank that doesn't come with fook2? or what fook2 gives me is ok on its own?

I'm not sure I fully understand your question, however, FOOK2 - [*censored*] World and Neighborhood Kit.esm is one of several mod components that make-up that total FOOK2 pakaged mod and cannot be used as a standalone and not available as a standalone mod.

 

If you spend some time on the links to FOOK2 I provided, you will find a lot of information regarding this very comprehesive mod. Specifically, go to FOOK2 - Public Beta -FOOK2 Beta - General Discussion. There is a host of information about FOOK2, contents, descriptions, mods included, etc.

Would someone please check if this loadorder is okay. Fallout Wanderers Edition has changed names.

I didn't know this. I was having a problem with naked megaton settlers, but I also had two .esm's loaded after quite a few .esp's (enhanced weather and project beauty). Moving them all up top seems to have fixed my problem! :) I'll have to keep this in mind. Thanks :)

Also get FO3Edit by ElminsterAU and Miax's guide on using the utility. This will identify conflicts between mods and help you resolve them.
