Greetings all,

 

I just got done looking through Cipscis beginners guide to scripts. Thanks to him for taking the time to type it out. With it, I tried to make a few simple scripts & they more or less worked. I then tried something a little more adventurous to use with a weapon mod I was trying to make for myself & failed dismally. I then tried to teach myself a little more with a few of the scripts via the GECK, but that failed as well. As a last resort I tried to reverse engineer a few scripts in mods that have been released, which worked, but in the end the results were not what I intended for my weapon to have.

 

Does anyone take requests to make scripts?? Please? I'm desperate here! lol....

 

If not, could you please point me into the right direction where I might find a listing of specific scripts? I spent a good 1/2 hour looking through the nexus, but didn't see what I was looking for. Perhaps I overlooked it. I used the search function & found alot of great info & honestly don't know if my question was already answered & I just couldn't see it.

 

If you do take requests, then this is my request:

 

1) Critical Hit Death Effect script. Either in or out of VATS is fine. I just need it to activate when an enemy dies due to a critical hit. I want to use the script with a custom weapon I am working on.

 

2) Upon death, the enemy is quickly pushed either a short, medium or long distance away from the player & then explodes. ( Delayed ) I would like the "FlamerCritEffect02" explosion to be used if possible. Any possible way for Random VATS camera views to follow it like a regular critical hit effect VATS camera? I have all the DLC's & if you suggest a similar sized explosion, then feel free to use it instead.

Actually, that wouldn't require scripting the weapon. You'd just need to add a new critical hit effect, and set it to activate on death. That stuff is at the bottom of the weapon's window. I forget how to add a new critical effect at the moment, though.

Thanks for the fast response. My apologies for not having mentioned earlier that I had already gone through the route that you mentioned. I am able to make a new/critical Critical Death Effect and then have it attached to the weapon, & as such have had some limited success in answering my own question. I also should have mentioned that I was working on a melee weapon & so I would not be going to make a custom projectile which would then also have a custom explosion effect, which would blow the enemy a good deal away. My limited skills within the GECK lets me already do that, I just want to have the enemy blown/pushed backward & THEN explode.

 

I can make it so that an enemy has the critical effect happen and then they get blown back on fire or whatever effect I have attached. Just not the other way around. I forget which DLC adds it, but one of them adds an explosion called "testphillprojectile" ( Not the Dog "Phill" projectile) or something like that which was an explosion that was delayed. It was attached to a weapon & after shooting it, a few seconds later a secon laser beam from a random location, hit the original explosion ( Which was a wavery gas form ) and ignited. But since it was buggy, it was removed from the DLC weapon, but is still avail via the GECK to be used for for any custom weapons.

 

There was something else that I was going to mention but now I forget what it was...

 

If I got a script, I could then add it to a custom CritDeathEffect via GECK's Effect SCript adder which I have already played around with. I just need the script itself.
