Playing from SI DVD, playing OBSE with SI .exe and KotN compatiblity

Hi.

 

Back a year ago when I bought Oblivion, I had no options of buying it in a store, so I went with the Direct2Drive version of Oblivion + Shivering Isles. Anyway, now, almost a year later, I've had headaches and recurring nightmares for being unable to play OBSE mods, which is something I really want to do. I then went all "I'm getting the boxed version" mode, and I managed to find shivering isles.

 

 

Anyway, thing is, my real life friend has the boxed version of Oblivion. He does not want to sell me it, but I can lend it. And seeing it as I already bought the original Oblivion from D2D, this should be legal.

 

Anyway:

 

1) Is it possible to install Oblivion via my friends discs, then install my copy of Shivering Isles, and then play from the shivering isles .exe?

2) Is it possible to use OBSE with the Shivering Isles .exe, as I will be unable to provide my computer with the vanilla oblivion CD?

3) I also have the digital version of Knights of the Nine + downloadable content. But as far as I know, KotN and the DLC content are just plugins, so will I be able to use my digital version of KotN with the disc versions of Oblivion and SI?

You cannot launch oblivion with the SI cd. it won't work.
