DeathWalker187
Every download I get from the Nexus comes out as a file that can't be opened instead ofthe ZIP or WINRAR that I originally downloaded. Is there something I'm doing wrong?
Oubliette
Well something is definitely wrong. Might be an issue with your connection giving you incomplete and broken downloads. Only other time I've ever gotten a file I can't open from Nexus was when I was attempting to open them before they finished downloading.
DeathWalker187
That's what I thought at first too but it only happens with Nexus . I don't know if my download manager is the problem or if there is a setting I need to change?
bben46
Try without your download manager - that will eliminate it as a possible source of the problem. Are you downloading the file first to a folder on your computer, then looking at it? You may have told Windows to open the file using something besides an unzipping program to open it.If the suffix is rar, 7z, zip or any other zip format, you may need to tell you computer to open those using a unzipping program - such as winzip, winrar, 7-zip go into your control panel, Find 'default programs', then 'associate a file type or protocol with a program' - see what program is associated with the zipped file formats and change then if needed - Usually any unzipping program will work with the others - so if you choose to use the FREE 7-zip, you can use that with .zip .rar, 7z,
