Cann't get NVSE to work with Steam version of the game

you'll probably need to do a registry cleanup of all of the fragments that the cracked version has left behind before you can fully use a legit version ... do that then reboot your box ... go into NMM and set up a custom start pointing to your fnv4gb executable --> in settings

Still nothing.

EDIT: I copied FalloutNV.exe and replaced it over FalloutNVLauncher.exe. The game now opens without launcher, everything works great but... NVSE still doesn't load.

why did you do that...? and you know that NVSE needs to be extracted into the root folder and not the data folder... right?

questions ---> in data if you click the falloutnv.exe does the game start? in data you click on falloutnvlauncher.exe does it bring up the launcher?

in root if you click the nvse_loader.exe does it start the game? in root if you click on the fnv4gb.exe does it start the game?

Both nvse_loader and fnv4gb start the game through steam which causes it to start through launcher.

I did that to bypass the launcher which i believed might have caused the trouble, though it's irrelevant now - I restored the files to their original state.

Falloutnv.exe starts the game directly. FalloutNVLauncher opens the launcher.

Both nvse_loader and fnv4gb bring up the launcher upon launching them, probably because they are opening the game via steam, and steam really wants me to use the launcher :F

Is Steam running before you try launching the game? Are you trying to launch the game from Steam? If so did you add a non-steam game via the library menu to point to the proper exe?

Do you have the ultimate edition?

Which version of the game is it, is it the USA/Western Europe version, or is it the Eastern Europe version?

Are you SURE you put nvse and it's dll's, FNV4GB and it's dll into the Fallout New Vegas installation directory and NOT the data folder? You cannot install these two things with a mod manager, it must be done manually.

I'm just trying to get a better idea of your installation is all.

Could you post the FNV4GB.log to pastebin and provide a link to it here, that will help greatly. The log is located in your Documents/My Games/FalloutNV folder.

Steam is running all the time, I got the ultimate edition, I put everything good as I did before on the cracked version.

Doesn't matter how I launch the game to get NVSE enabled - through Steam / Launcher / NVSE_Loader / FNV4GB / NMM - nothing works.

How to check my Fallout version?

Ok you are using the eastern europe version. That's good to know, create a shortcut to FNV4GB.exe, right click it and select properties, and add these in the target box at the very end.

-exe FalloutNV.4GB -SteamAppId 22490

The log says that NVSE is being successfully injected into the process, there may be an issue with NVSE when the game is in the Polish language.

If the above doesn't help you, I would direct you twords someone from NVSE team as this seems to be a real issue.

If I do this, I get this error:

Not sure if FNV4GB includes NVSE, but if it does, it doesnt work. I launch the shortcut, then Steam brings up the launcher, I start the game and nothing is changed.

EDIT: I don't know what to think about it. Second run and it worked. Don't really know how you did this, but I really thank you!

Issue fixed, thanks everyone that participated in helping me!
