I do not have any experience modding myself so I would prefer to pay to have the mods made for me. Its going to be a big project with a couple rules but nothing too big :smile: So the first of three mods I want made starts as follows (if this mod gets made ill consider starting work on the other two, but I want to see where this mod goes first) I have always loved the concept of having your own functional town. In any game really. But it would be great to have a town of your very own, so I got to thinking over the last couple months, and now I have an entire town mod idea that I would like to have made. Rebuild Nipton The quest starts right after vulpes Inculta dies or leaves Nipton for the first time. A courier will approach and give you a letter from an unknown Prospector who while passing through looking for a place to settle down in, found Nipton and he found it burnt (The player will likely have passed nipton on their way to novac when the courier arrives so the letter would have been sent sometime between when the courier boots vulpes out or lets him walk out, and when the player arrives in novac) the prospector will then be in the mayors office sitting at the desk. When you arrive and talk to this prospector he introduces himself and tells you after finding this burnt town, he wants to rebuild it and settle down. From here you go on to secure and strengthen the three main town aspects. The Protection, The Productions, and The Inhabitants. Do you want to turn the town into your own haven? be evil and turn it into a raiders den? NCR Outpost? Legion Den? the choices are numerous, and all for you to make. I have 0 coding experience, and I have 0 experience making textures and meshes and weapons and armors and god knows what else might end up in my ideas. thats why im trying to find someone who does know how to make this kind of thing, they will be able to do it not only faster but better than I ever would. Thank you all!I'm curious - is this mod to be made for your own personal use, or do you intend to upload it to the Nexus? If your only contribution is by providing funds and the basic concept, why would you care if the project is popular or not? what exactly is RTS? HamTheBacon Posted March 28, 2014 Author Share Posted March 28, 2014 I wasn't planning on keeping the mod to myself no, I was going to put it on the nexus, I wanted a lore friendly build your own town mod and I have spent many hours jotting down ideas for such mods, it isnt just about the one mod like I said I have three mods I want made this is kind of just the test to see if I can find people willing to put as much time and effort into making such mods as I have in thinking them up, if I had any skill with coding or meshing or texturing I would have made these mods years ago. But I am just not capable of making mods, so getting someone else to make them for me is the next best thing that I can think of. If I can get the help I need to make this mod, and it turns out like I see it in my head, ill move onto the next 2 content mods, if I cant then ill scrap the project. as for the near future ill check out real time settler thank you.
