BadPenney
These threads have hundreds, sometimes thousands of posts and views. How does a new arrival to a megathread blend into a conversation with a cullture?
5ivexxxxx
Uhh... I guess you could read the first post and the most recent pages. That might work. But generally, unless they're really interested or involved in the mod, people won't post other than to say "Good job!" or give a critique. Or flame them, in the nastier cases. But most of the time threads don't last that long. And on the Bethsoft forums, a thread gets locked after 200 posts, so that kinda lets people who are new to the mod keep up to date. But The Nexus doesn't use that, for the reason I just stated. The only thread that's gotten very long is the thread for the BF2142 mod. And for that case, see my first few sentences. Tony the Wookie
I try to keep my first page updated for people who are interested in my mod, which I think is at page 14 at the moment. I also start a new topic after it gets too out of hand, my last one was 27 pages, which is just too long if you expect new people to be interested. Right now I am on my third topic for my mod...
