BlooMongoose
EDIT:SOLVED This issue was actually caused by complications between NVSE and Team Speak's overlay program, Overwolf. I would assume this applies to other overlay programs as well... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So I've been attempting to add some new mods into New Vegas for yet another play through, but I'm generally stumped by this issue. Whether or not its the main cause or if its just triggering some compatibility issues, A World of Pain is giving me a serious headache. I've run BOSS to sort the load order and run FNVEdit to make sure there is no issues with master files (which there is not). I've downloaded and used UnifiedHUD to make sure there are no issues with conflicting HUD components (though I believe AWOP does not actually add anything to the UI). I also added AWOP into the data folder manually as the installation instructions on the mod page said to do. Nonetheless, the game crashes (or rather freezes) after displaying the copyright information; maybe 2 seconds after the window opens up. I then have to CTRL+ALT+DEL and close via the task manager. My current load order (This list is a direct copy paste from plugins.txt): falloutnv.esm <--------------- is that Normal?FalloutNV.esmDeadMoney.esmHonestHearts.esmOldWorldBlues.esmLonesomeRoad.esmGunRunnersArsenal.esmClassicPack.esmMercenaryPack.esmTribalPack.esmCaravanPack.esmAfterschool Special.esmAWorldOfPain(Preview).esm <--------------------------------------- The game runs fine when this is disabled.More Perks.esmMore Perks for Companions.esmMore Traits.esmProject Nevada - Core.esmProject Nevada - Equipment.esmProject Nevada - Extra Options.esmWMVM.esmELECTRO-CITY - CompletedWorkorders.esmoHUD.esmProject Nevada - Rebalance.espProject Nevada - Cyberware.espNevadaSkies.esmDarNifiedUINV.espThe Mod Configuration Menu.espProject Nevada - Dead Money.espProject Nevada - Honest Hearts.espProject Nevada - Old World Blues (No Cyberware).espProject Nevada - Lonesome Road.espProject Nevada - Gun Runners' Arsenal.espProject Nevada - Cyberware Additions.espProject Nevada - Rebalance Complete.espMojaveExtended100.espoutsidebets.espMore Perks Update.espMore Perks for Companions Update.espMore Traits Update.espPortableCampsite.espFlashlightNVSE.espNCR Ranger Helmet Neck Cover.espRealistic_Repair_NV.espUnlimitedCompanions.espUnlimitedCompanions SCRIPT FIX.espLFox Bottle That Water.espWeaponModsExpanded.espProject Nevada - WMX.espWMX-ModernWeapons.espEVE FNV - ALL DLC.espProject Nevada - EVE All DLC.espPickCompanionArmorandWeapons.espDoubleVendorMoney.espBloodyMessLessBloody.espWMX-DLCMerged.espWMX-POPMerged.espWMX-EVE-AllDLCMerged.espCourierCacheWSE.espNevadaSkies - Ultimate DLC Edition.espWMX-AWOP-Overhaul.esp <---------------------------------------- AWOP / Weapon Mods Extended compatibility patch.Merged Patch.esp (There are a few disabled mods as well): Electro-City Highways and Byways.esmProject Nevada - ALL DLC.esp <-------------------- This is disabled because the individual DLC esms are enabled.MojaveExtended20.espMojaveExtended40.espMojaveExtended60.espMojaveExtended80.esp <------------ these add music to the game, but only the 100.esm is required.Eve FNV NO GRA.espEve FNV NO DLC.espProject Nevada - EVE No DLC.espProject Nevada - EVE No GRA.espNevadaSkies - TTW Edition.espNevadaSkies - Basic Edition.esp When "AWorldOfPain(Preview).esm" and "WMX-AWOP-Overhaul.esp" are not checked the game runs fine. And as you can see I have made a merged patch to try to resolve any errors between mods and only one error remains after the fact (the same lone error is left when a merged patch is created when AWOP and the compatibility patch are DISABLED, so it doesn't seem to be the issue) (Hell, the game even runs fine without a merged patch, so long as those 2 AWOP mods aren't enabled): This would be the only error that occurs; Container > Vendor Container > Torres's Trunk > Something about respawning, etc. I have no idea what this means myself but it doesn't seem to be the problem anyways. Am I overthinking this? Is AWOP simply just incompatible with one of my current mods? If it turns out that I can't use AWOP, so be it, but with the absurd amount of time I've spent trying to trying to fix this it would be a shame to let it go. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated  Edited March 28, 2014 by BlooMongoose
RoyBatterian
Uhm I thought file dates determined load order and plugins.txt only had a list of the plugins you have... but... anyways. I use a lot of the same mods you do, and I haven't any problem with AWOP, I don't really see any mod there that would mess with it, however I am unfamiliar with Mojave Extended. Perhaps you should move AWOP before Afterschool Special and see if that works for you.
BlooMongoose
Apparently this issue is actually not mod related at all. After some intense googling I stumbled across a forum post regarding overlay programs and how they can be incompatible with NVSE. Apparently Overwolf (which is Team Speak 3's overlay program) is one of such incompatible programs. Why was I only getting the CTD when trying to run A World of Pain? Who the hell knows... I guess that's a Bethesda game for you :P
