LOL50015
So I'm exporting to Skyrim and I want to know if there is anything wrong with this part of the pipeline. I'm using Max 14 and 11 and Vray 2, and I'm making a gun. I make my mesh in max 14, it consists of 13 parts intercerting with each other to reduce polycount, apply vray materials, test render, looks good, save as max 11 file, open in max 11, export as .nif file, it opens fine in nifskope, then I sent it to someone to mod it and he said it appear as a red exclamation mark. My export settings: I hope someone can help lol. I did leave some of the object as editable poly, but it showed up in nifscope fine. Thank you. Percevan
After the initial export from max in .nif format, the usual process involves the nifconvert(to ironout some leftover nif problems, that happens) and chunkmerge tools (for collisions), both embedded into one application now (and pretty simple to use, even intuitively I'd say) : NifUtilSuite.http://niftools.sourceforge.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=4128http://niftools.sourceforge.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=4130 Also, I usually had the best export results from max version 12, since there's even a very good nif exporter for this one on the skyrim nexus mod pages
