pardon my ignorance csb - can I have the mmm mod without FOSE ( I am not certain what that is)?

I Have FOMM and so far, with very few mods enabled, I have had no problems.

I think back to Oblivion which was blighted with ctd's. I dont want that to happen again.....

Yes you can,mmm dosen't require fose

gosh... I has better make a list! Have downloaded the DC interiors GT. Looks good. I haven't got as far as DC yet - still exploring Rivet City, which is at least an improvement on Megatron. Downloading minihideout now... thanks!

ps... is Dogmeat a canine pal? would you recommend?

Dogmeat is a canine yes. I like Dogmeat, but he isn't very survivable as a follower (there are mods that can correct this by setting the poor mutt to Essential). So I have him tag along until he goes off yipping after something like a super mutant. Then Dogmeat becomes dog meat -- and depending on the stage of the game I'm in, I can try to intervene, or give him silent respects (or not) as I use his devoted distraction to get the hell out of Dodge.
