SpeedyB64
When I go to generate distant objects in the GECK I get the following error: http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww216/SpeedyB64/LodError.png I really need to get this figured out so that I can get this working properly: http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww216/SpeedyB64/PhoenixCityChunk.png
SpeedyB64
I got it figured, just put the source folder in the Bethesda Softworks folder (the one fallout3 folder is in) and open and save the textures as .tga weird
SpeedyB64
I got the distant objects generating fine but they don't show up properly in game. Anyone have any ideas?
BadPenney
I made tga files from the LOD diffuse texture dds files for the associated missing objects and placed them into the directories where the GECK expected to find them. Make sure that filesize matches existing tga files. ..\Fallout 3\Data\textures\architecture\urban\urbanbuildingslod.dds becomes ..\source\textures tga\architecture\urban\urbanbuildingslod.tga
Skree000
it might also be referring to phsyical size of the textures. (ie. 1024x1024 diffuse and a 512x512normal) it might be picky and want those to be both the same. (if thats the problem. The wording is pretty vague but im guessing thats what its referring to) btw is there any reason you are using tgas instead of dds? (aside from the fact that dds take forever to save lmao)
Honeybiscuit
That looks like you deleted some file in the master (Fallout3) file. The same warning shows up either on the render sreen as does the object and some times you might pull in something you wasnte aware of and the object doesnt appear and you begin to drop it again. Be cautious when you delet parts. What you did was added what was missing in the first place.

Leadpipe
Hey, thanks for this. I've been having this problem, too and have just been putting it off until I've got more to go with. You've just saved me a bit of a headache.
