Nero1534
If anyone could send me the vanilla textures for the Bravil Fighter's Guild, or at least a link to them (I'm not an Anti-Rapidshare p*ssy btw, so feel free to use a Rapidshare link. Haven't gotten a single virus from them at all. ;3), that'd be great. Also, a screenie to verify.
DagonTheranis
You appear to be missing a texture file somewhere.
Panzer4
I'm having a similar problem with the doors to the guilds in Chorrol and the doors to the inn and the store in Hackdirt.
thehim87
Are you using Blooad & Mud, or Better Cities mod ?
Nero1534
I THINK i'm using OBC (Open Better Cities), not sure though. It's the version with the chimney smoke, lit windows, darker nights, etc.
bben46
You would expect the Mages guild to change color, but not the fighters. :P The vanilla textures and meshes are not removed or changed in any way by mods. The mods just overwrite them each time you start the game. So, if you have not done anything to the original bsa files in the data folder (if you had there would be a lot more problems) the original textures are still there, just obscured by a mod. What mod did you install just prior to the problem? Just disabling the esp in the mod list does not remove the mods texture and mesh files. To do that, you need to know what mod made the change, then go into the meshes and textures folders and remove the mesh and texture files placed by that mod. After doing that, the original (vanilla) meshes and textures should be back. If your mods are in the OMOD format, disabling the OMOD removes everything without having to dig through the folders to find the one that caused the problem. 8)
Nero1534
It's OBC, for sure, but i've had all of my mods for quite a while now, but none of them have caused something like this until now. But anyways, i'm downloading the Qarl Texture Pack 3, see if that fixes it. It should, considering it replaces all the textures with enlarged versions, so instead of having little lines, the buildings actually have cracks and vines and stuff. :P If it doesn't fix it, i'll let you guys know. Only reason i brought this up is because having a giant purple zit on the ass of Tamriel really irks the hell out of me. LOL.
Nero1534
Wahoo! I was right! The texture pack fixed the "Purple Building of Doom". And boy does it look better than ever! I highly reccommend this texture pack to ANYONE who wants their buildings to look like they're actually made from logs/stone/whatever instead of one bigass chunk of wood/stone/etc. :) View my last post to see which mod, since i'm too lazy to put it into this one. (And i want to get back to playing Oblivion XD)
myrmaad
It's the version with the chimney smoke, lit windows, darker nights, etc. This description actually sounds like the problem was with AWLS or "Animated Windows Lighting System" which does change both the building meshes and the textures if installed correctly. Glad you got it fixed but don't be surprised if the windows don't light up at night like this. http://www.tesnexus.com/imageshare/images/767450-1233156098.jpg
Nero1534
Oh they still do, no worries. It turns out it WAS OBC that was f*cking with the texture.
