ak7
Hey everyoneI will warn you I think this a stupid question and I'm new so please forgive me. I don't have a lot of experience with modding.I'm having an issue with meshes. I load the CS and open the main Morrowind ESM and it all works fine, but when I try to make a new piece of armor and use an existing vanilla mesh (in my case the Imperial Cuirass) I am unable to locate any of the vanilla meshes in the folder. Why is this? Am I missing something, are they hidden? Do I have to load something else? I don't understand why the meshes folder is full of stuff from my few mods I am running but completely lacking any of the original files.
Oubliette
The meshes folder isn't a native folder. In other words, it's not there before you start installing mods. It's only there because of mods and it only contains modded meshes. Same goes for textures etc. Your vanilla files are located in your BSA's, in order to see them you'll need a BSA viewer/packer. Daedthr
What Oubliette said, however if your planning on making new armor that uses vanilla meshes, couldn't you simply duplicate a vanilla piece using that mesh and change everything else you want? e.g. name, stats, texture You can certainly do that in the Creation kit, but its been a while before I've used the Construction Set, maybe you can't duplicate.
