FOOK2 1.2 issues...

Hey all!

I'm having some trouble getting FOOK2 v1.2 running.

Currently I have the Large Address Aware fix, multi-core fix, darnUI, unofficial patch (the benwah/hairylegs version), GFWL disabler and FOOK2 added to the game.

Uninstall FOOK2 and the game runs perfectly.

Leave it in and it crashes during the 'Please Stand By' slide on start.

Load order:

1. Fallout3.esm

2. Anchorage.esm

3. ThePitt.esm

4. BrokenSteel.esm

5. PointLookout.esm

6. Zeta.esm

7. Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch.esm

8. CALIBR.esm

9. FOOK2 - Main.ESM

10. FOOK2 - [DIK] DLC Improvement Kit.ESM

11. DarnifiedUIF3.esp

12. FOOK2 - Main.esp

13. FOOK2 - [DIK] DLC Improvement Kit.esp

14. FOOK2 - Main [Hotfix].esp

15. FOOK2 - DIK [Hotfix].esp

BOSS freaks out at the FOOK2 hotfixes (appears to be under the impression v1.1 is most recent), and FO3Edit runs without trouble.

I'd greatly appreciate any help!

Please go back and read all of Fooks pages, know when the mod was made and what it was designed to be compatible with.

reinstall fallout 3 and do not update it, do not enable an address aware gig tool kit, to not tamper with the executable at all.

Don't break the main engine before running the game. make sure you have 7z archiving tools installed on that machine.

  • Reason: raw vanilla fallout3.exe .right click it and extract to / it's named sake folder, Does 7z tell you it's broken? NO, it does not.
  • reason this: set enable to 2gig address, save, right click that modified executable now and extract IT !, you now have a broken game engine.
  • download the 1.7 patch for vanilla retail edition English version ,run it, repeat the above. Is it broken now?

let me know what you find. Fook2 is a vanilla game over haul mod for fallout3, it is not an overhaul mod for fixes mods. Broken data.

you decide fro your self by what you see in front of you on your PC, that tells it all.

FOOK2 recommends using the updated patch.

* Be careful if you are using the Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch to load it before FOOK esps. Note that the UF3P Broken Steel patch may be crashing your game, with or without FOOK. Better yet, use the UPDATED Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch by BenWah and Hairylegs.

Also, I'm using the steam version, not the retail version.

And the FOOK2 Hotfixes were released on the 5th of march. The Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch linked to by the FOOK2 page was released 9 September 2013.

you still have conflicts. based on productions and the source of the edits / tools used , did not exists when the Vanilla game was released.

any one can recommend any thing. is it right? you tell me, I know whats wrong. It's not my place to argue the point. Fook2 runs perfect on it's own merits. It Does not run perfectly combined with the new updates being made. And any other mods so ordered to be updated VIA Fo3edits will have misplaced and missing data, data Fook 2needs to find and what it finds is not what it needs.

The same can be said for FWE, WMK RHIS. the list is huge.

I recommend as I am any one, to run just fook2 "ALONE" and see what happens. you can't force an issue with data, it cares not.
