No (Immediate) Death from Shooting non-Vital Areas

It has always bothered me that I could still kill an NPC if I only shot their limbs. Of course, the same goes for robots and turrets: damaging a non-vital part enough will kill/destroy them.

My idea is to prevent further damage to an NPC's overall health from continued damaged to a crippled limb. Of course, one can "Cripple" their head or torso without killing them, so those could be the exceptions.

Also, what I meant by "no (immediate) death" is, to organic NPCs, having X-number of cripple areas could incurr damage-over-time.

Both: they won't immediately drop dead from broken toes, but they could slowly lose health from blood loss.

Sometimes, Raiders or Fiends will panic if you're kicking their ass, e.g. "I don't wanna die!" or "I'm outta here!" That could be the type of reaction to an enemy that's losing blood.

Well you can easily adjust the damage modifiers for non essential body parts in the GECK by going to

'Bodypart Data > Characters > _Male > DefaultBodyPartData'

And changing the values of all non essential body parts to do less % damage and up the head and torso accordingly. However there are plenty of mods that redo the damage tables already.

The bleedout effect could possibly be done via scripting using "GetHitLocation" and able to include other variables such as what type of weapon was used (you're not going to bleed out if you get hit with a blunt weapon in your arm)

I would try my hand at this but I'm not proficient enough at scripting.
