WrenTheMoonElf
I noticed the other day that some of the mods I was using stopped working, the scopeless magnum mod being one. I had in no way altered the magnum other than that, not an accuracy mod, not even a texture replacer. Suddenly, the scope reappeared at one point without me noticing cause I only use it against larger enemies, so it went by unnoticed. It could be a mod conflict, but I'm not sure, everytime I go to try a new mod to make the magnum scopeless it either shows up scoped or as a red box with a ! on it. How do I fix this? csb
That usually happens when the resource isn't found by Fallout3 and that ugly box pops up in-game. If you use ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated! (and you should have), you can turn it off and then on again, would "refresh" it and (hopefully) force FO3 to look in the Data textures and meshes folders for the replacements. The same thing can be accomplished from within FOMM with two clicks of a button. Another consideration: if you recently installed a new mod, there might be a conflict between mods. You can use FO3Edit to find and resolve these conflicts (Miax's FO3Edit guide will show you how). Hopefully, this is of some help. I'm sure others can offer different insights. I did attempt to click on and off Archive Invalidation, more than once actually, and it didn't work. The most recent mod added was the sprint mod to my knowledge. None of the mods I have in use would really cause the conflict, its quite confusing.
