S4INT
OK so um... topic says it all, what do i do to get it all back?
bben46
Actually you topic says very little. Did you delete the greeting? Or something in the game? in the Oblivion? Shivering Isles? somewhere else? How about some detail. When reporting an incident remember Who, what, where, when and with which All NPCs? some NPCs? Companion NPCs?Just greeting? other topics? which other topics work? don't work? All of the time? some of the time?In certain places? everywhere? What were you doing ( or what were the NPCs doing) when it started?Any other helpful detail? Possible - IF you have shivering Isles AND you exited by any OTHER means than the door, such as by a teleport from a mod or mark and return spell, you will get all NPCs saying "I have no greeting." This is a known bug. If this is your problem go back into SI, and exit by the door. It dosn't matter if you use the door to get back in or not, as long as you use the door to leave. S4INT
I dont have SI. I deleted the generic greets in the GREETINGS* dialog while using CS. All npc's say "I HAVE NO GREETING"
bben46
The generic greetings are contained in either Oblivion-voices1.bsa or Oblivion-voices2.bsa. It is unlikely that you actually removed them - unless you were doing something to a bsa file. Not a good idea. Didi you save a mod when you did that? if so, get rid of that mod, go into the data folders and find the data\voices folder and find the sub folder for that mod and MOVE that sub folder to a different location. by moving instead of deleting you still have it if you move the wrong one. S4INT
If i started over would the solve the problem?
Pronam
Yeah, easily. Get one of the two utilities, like tes4edit. (my fav :)) and Here is an explanation on how to use it (in general).Simply remove the (corresponding) changes at your mod there and it'll be fine.If it doesn't work, or you find it too complex, upload it and I'll clean it for you. S4INT
I just started over, i figured it was worth more trouble then the mod was worth. How ever, my new mod is by far looking way better then before. Pronam, if you would like to help me with the NPC's after i finish the construction portion of the mod that would be great.
