natethegreatt
I think this started after I had just uninstalled Advanced Alchemy and I went to load up my character. First thing I did was open my bag and went to start making potions the vanilla way. As soon as I clicked on my mortal and pestle the game crashed. I didn't know why it crashed so I loaded it up again. This time it crashed on the loading screen. Very confused I went and deactivated and reactivated all of my mods in order to find which one was causing the problem. It was narrowed down to Oblivion XP and DarN UI. So I completely uninstalled both addons, then reinstalled Darn UI and Oblivion XP, respectively. And I made sure to apply the proper UI patch for Oblivion XP. Still no luck. I can use either Darn UI or Oblivion XP safely without crashes...but I was using them fine together before, and I sure would like to again. Can anyone help me figure this out? malonn
I don't use Oblivion XP, but does it come with XML files for Darn?
natethegreatt
I don't use Oblivion XP, but does it come with XML files for Darn? Yeah it comes with xml patches for DarN, Dark Darn, and Vanilla/bt
malonn
It could be a problem with those xml patches. Try running it without them and see.
natethegreatt
It could be a problem with those xml patches. Try running it without them and see. It was working fine before with the correct patches. Now all of a sudden it doesn't. But I'll play around with the xml files and see if I can't come up with anything. In the meantime, are there any more suggestions? edit: it runs fine when I don't apply the xml patches, but the patches are required to access the level up screens of Oblivion XP. edit edit: I figured it out. I think vista was storing some temp files and the UAC wasn't letting the OMOD of Oblivion XP over-wright them. Just a guess though, because all I did was restart xD. Anyways everything's all good.
