Hellmarch Large quest

one day i came up with an idea for a mod for fallout 3

 

I called it Hellmarch as i was listening to the RA2 hellmarch theme tune at the time.

 

Info: 101 or the main character gets a chance to travel round the world, like britian,france,canada,africa,germany,romania ect to unite the broken remains of humanity. fighting of evil factions and raiders round the world.

 

Main Factions

U.E.G (United Earth Government founded by 101)

Technocrats (Technological Alien worshiping maniacs)

Confederate/Hellmarchers (giant and powerfull alliance of evil, organised villians the built an army of clones)

CRI (im hoping to bring them into this mod somehow i allways loved the cri mod and thought it be cool if they were a faction in this mod thats hopefully, hopefully, to be made by me soon)

 

New Weapons.

 

Tesla Rifle

Tesla Pistol

Tesla Minigun/ or something like it.

TAKEV Rifle

High Calibre Machine Gun

ARC laser Cannon

Lichenfaust

 

New Armour

Techno Power Armour.

U.E.G commando uniform.

U.E.G power armour.

Confederate Soldier uniform.

Confederate sniper cloak.

Confederate Power Armour.

 

New Creatures, Monsters and Badguys

 

For Britian

Gaelic/Celt Tribal (a type of raider that that follows celt or gaelic traditions)

London Gangster/Radier (cliche london style trader gangster)

Glasgow Radier (Cliche scottish style gangster/raider)

Aquila a Juirguim (a mutated eagle, with spined body)

Extraxi ( a flying style lizard)

Spider Crabs (crabs DNA, Mixed with Spider DNA)

Golf Snake (large spined snake)

Giant Wasp (very self explantory really :biggrin: if you still dont know then do this :wallbash: :thumbsup: cuz you know you want to )

Monasterious Vermis (giant spined worm with large eye)

Gaelic/Celt Dragon (giant lizard that looks like dragon. no wings)

British S.Mutant Varients (chavy mutants yay, what fun to kill)

 

For France.

??

dunno yet, would need a frenc guy to tell me what zoo's are like in paris and what kind of dangerous animals they have there that could b horrificly mutate.

 

For Gemany

??

Same really

possibly mutated wolves.

 

For Romania.

well i kind of went for a ww2 nazi castle approach to romania. like you go to a nazi castle like wolfenstien and come acros these creatures and mutants.

X-creatures (wolfentien monsters that walk on 2 hands and spew electricity)

Mutated Nazi (vampire like crazy nazi that feeds on peoples blood)

Giant Bat (self explantory)

Occult Praavus (small parasite)

Horrificly Mutated Human (i was thinking of the G-Virus second stage mixed with krausers virus for this one, mainly its like krausers arm but all over)

Shadow Prince (Crazy Nazi vampire who has a krauser type arm thing)

FELL (a shadow wolf, that has "supernatural" so it seems power and attacks people at night with a pack of mutated wolves/Barghests)

Barghests (well i told you up above)

 

For Africa

Mutated Tiger

Leophant (small fast elephant, mixed between leopard DNA and well Elephant DNA)

Mutated Zebra

Black Widow crab (faster and stronger version of the spider crab)

 

as this is such a large mod me and Fell a freind of mine on this forum are going to make a beta first.

and i am open to suggestions since i am still in the planing stage.

 

i will upload pictures ASAP but they are quick drawings and wont look to good considering i have just started to draw them because i know its would be better if i put concept pictures up.

Main Characters.

General Credo ( Commander of the Confederate)

Cyber Ninjas Joyshimitsu/Joshi, Grey Talon , Snake Eyes (these guys of course will be using the reinforced Chinese Stealth armour)

Seargent Browining (seargent in the British Alliance Status: Good, Soldier close freinds with 101)

General Oliver Smith (still think up names for the British Alliance Genera Status: Neutral)

Colonel Yuri Bradovich/Boskonovich (still thinking of first names for this guy. Status: Slightly Evil Russian general that 101 has to pursade to join the U.E.G)

Col.John.Carter (an african american selected to be the U.E.G's main commander)

Belle ?? (thinking of a second name for her. Status: Good karmered, french woman who leads the french alliance, good with sniper and other guns)

Eagle/ Possible other codenames (a legendary british soldier who is shrouded in mistery. who has long jagged brown hair and a scare down his left eye)

 

Also characters from the original game i will try to include as well to try and bring it realisticly into the fallout world.

for examle.

101 will have messages left for him on terminals from James his dad.

Paladin Tristan

Sarah Lyons

Scribe Rothschild

Dr Li (possibly but i find her rather annoying)

Colonel Autumn (if you let him walk away at the end of Take it Back! quest.)

 

others as i said i would be gratefull for any suggestions.

Mod looks and sounds very cool, but also very daunting.

 

Can you give more information on the LOCATIONS you hint at? Possibly flesh them out a bit more? So far i see reference to new items, npcs and creatures, but nothing specific about the scope of your locales.

 

With the amount of work you have outlined here alone, (IF you are aiming for a medium to high quality mod) it would take a pair of experienced modders (who are also totally fluent in modelling, texturing and scripting) about a year to finish, at the earliest. For first time fallout3/oblivion modders, this could easily take 1-2 yrs easily, maybe more. (unless you have no dayjob, and work on the mod daily as your job instead, in addition to then workign on it in your spare time afterwards)

 

Not trying to talk you out of it, i like the sounds of your mod here, very imaginative and bold. I wish you the best of luck with it! Just trying to put it into perspective here if you havent considered how much of a timesink and investment this will be.

 

I like the sounds of this. But big mods usually fade out quickly unless they have rock solid commitment and enthusiasm that never dies, not even on days when you wake up and dont really feel like working on the mod. (im bad for that =(

If you want my honest opinion, id take your BEST ideas, scale them back, dial it down a bit, then focus on the good parts, and do those only.

For example, consider only adding ONE new creature for each major area.

 

Once you have touched on each part of your mod, and done a little work on each area, THEN go back and expand upon those areas and add more content, but ONLY after you have accomplished some milestones.

 

Having an organized milestone structure for your mod development will help organize you and keep you on track. You will be able to easily see when things need to be cut, or followed through.

 

Its always nice to see a LONG list of ideas for the initial planning stages of anything. But just prepare yourself to make ALOT of cuts. In the games industry, there are ALWAYs cuts that everyone hates, but in the end its for the best so the project can get finished sooner.

Only when its nearing completion can some of those more lofty goals be re-examined and revisited if there is time.

well actaually i was thinking of only doing a beta first skeer800 and yeah me and Aquilla aka Fell now that its gonna take a very long time. i predicted about 3 years. and i was hoping to recruit a team but yeah ill upload some more information. i might only do quick visits to some nations with the character being confined to a small part of the city. round about each one being round about the size of the mall, i was also hoping to be able to use parts from other mods but there is a permission issue.

 

like i wanted to incorporate the CRI mod into ours making them a faction in it using all the original stuff for that mod and few extras but :thanks: for your constructive critisizm i hope ur mod goes well :thumbsup: . if im right im sure ur working on the fallout 2142 mod.

 

i may also realease a P.P.P on concepts and more detail on creatures characters and concepts to.

i was hoping that i would get more comments on what to do as this is my first major mod for a bethseda engine game.

Also, I have a ridiculously small mod team on moddb (me and another guy, and i'm not sure he's still in) so we may have a bit of extra help from him. again, sorry for his spelling :P

 

Aswell, I think we're going to do it TF2 style, with releasing it when not really finished, then adding until complete. this will keep people interested once they've downloaded it, or will download it thanks to the promise of it getting better.

Updated my idea.

 

here will be where the character will mainly be at when going to certain countries.

 

Britian

London

London Underground

basically to unite the many factions trying to fight the problematic radiers mainly in the london underground.

Southport.

to find the soldier eagle to help you in your mission.

Glasgow

Liverpool

not sure about these yet.

 

France.

Normandy WW2 you come off landing system for the americans in ww2 and you stroll up the beaches to find normandy be attacked by technocrats. you then come across belle and become freinds with here.

Paris

you then head of to paris with Belle and her brother to fight back the technocrats there and persuade a group of french people to take up arms against the technocrats.

 

Germany

Berlin

you go there with The Eagle and Belle with the british and french alliance to unite the remains of good people in Germany and to fight the Technocrats.

Hawkeonen

you go there to get some german scientists to help you combat the technocrats and you first encounter the confederate who attack the science lab.

 

Romania.

you go to Romania on the rumours of there being a amazingly powerful super weapon that was developed in a WW2 Nazi occupied castle. on the way there you get attacked by fell. and somehow transported to the castle. then you come across a lab deep in the castle with experimental creatures and genetically modifed humans. you will eventually come across Joshi a Cyber Ninja that will help you on your quest.
