In this case particular case, you would likely have a very limited customer base since you are building a water cooled system instead of an air cooled. The reason why this is an issue is because the average know-nothing consumer wouldn't understand the benefit, wouldn't know how to maintain, and would likely see it being too much of a hassle. The more knowledgeable person, who would know what to do with a water cooled system would also likely know how to build and setup their own computer, so wouldn't need you. As for what you would charge on top of the parts, that would depend primarily on who the buyer is, how much additional stuff they would need to have setup (connections, internet, user accounts, anti-virus, ect), and what sorts of components you were working with. If all you were doing was just building it, installing the OS, and just selling it like that, you probably wouldn't be able to charge more than 5% markup (in the case of that system, probably somewhere around cost + $50) to the cost of parts and shipping. If you were offering a more personalized and comprehensive service however, you could charge an 8-12% markup (keep in mind the additional costs of extra software that would be passed on to the client + your 8-12%). For a system which is already built without any client specifications, probably the only way to make money from it would be to list it on e-bay with the costs of parts and shipping + $20-30 as a minimum bid and see where it goes from there. But, if it's already built/used, you may end up not getting a sale, or having to lower price since it was a system which was only built to what you thought was good. Using the RC of windows 7 is also probably not the best idea; just wait till windows 7 is released.
