Omny
So I'm trying to get my Fallout Mod Manager to update its masterlist so I can use the BOSS auto-sort, but every time I click Help -> Check for Update, it crashes. The crashdump log says thusly: Saturday, April 05, 2014 - 10:14:45 AMFomm 0.13.21OS version: Microsoft Windows NT 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized. at System.Net.WebClient.DownloadDataInternal(Uri address, WebRequest& request) at System.Net.WebClient.DownloadString(Uri address) at System.Net.WebClient.DownloadString(String address) at Fomm.Games.Fallout3.Tools.AutoSorter.Fallout3BOSSUpdater.GetMasterlistVersion() at Fomm.Games.FalloutNewVegas.FalloutNewVegasGameMode.CheckForUpdates() at Fomm.MainForm.checkForUpdateToolStripMenuItem_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.RaiseEvent(Object key, EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripMenuItem.OnClick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.HandleClick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.HandleMouseUp(MouseEventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.FireEventInteractive(EventArgs e, ToolStripItemEventType met) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.FireEvent(EventArgs e, ToolStripItemEventType met) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStrip.OnMouseUp(MouseEventArgs mea) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripDropDown.OnMouseUp(MouseEventArgs mea) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmMouseUp(Message& m, MouseButtons button, Int32 clicks) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ScrollableControl.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStrip.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripDropDown.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.OnMessage(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam) I've already Googled the problem but so far I haven't found any solution that worked. Where exactly is the masterlist being downloaded from? If I knew that I could just download it myself manually and place it where it needs to be. Gribbleshnibit8
That's been broken for about 3 years or so now. Use BOSS instead. http://boss-developers.github.io/ It's the same thing, but it actually works.
Omny
Thanks; I just did and it fixed it. Seriously though, it's been broken for that long? I'm glad there's another program that's fixed and all, but I miss having all my modding needs in one lil' package.
