Purplelizard
Hello, I am having an awful time with my sound in Oblivion. I use headphones as not to disturb my husband while I play. But I get an awful squeal and squelch noise. It doesn't happen when I use my regular speakers.
Maigrets
Hi, I also use headphones so I the neighbours don't think I'm murdering someone in the early hours. This may sound obvious but have you got the headphones plugged into the microphone jack on the soundcard by mistake or are they plugged into your normal speakers. If they are plugged into the microphone this would explain the awful noises and feedback squealing and you could run the risk of damaging the sound card itself. If your normal PC speakers have a headphone jack plug them into it instead. That's the only thing I can think of if your other speakers are OK. If it was the sound card itself you would also have issues with them.
Purplelizard
Hello Maigrets, Thanks!! Your suggestion worked, I have two speaker jacks on my computer one on top and one in back. And the one on my speakers I didn't even know I had...hahaIt is going to be so nice to play without all that background noise.
