Mixing esp and esm???

Hi guys-gals, well actually I have problems with savegames, my savegames corrupt after 20 or 30 hours or play or so I just can't play over level 10. I've been disabling some mods like new areas-cells mods and thing improved but I still have corruption.

So now I'm using about 16 outfits mods, FreePlay after MQ, and 3 mods that reduce the perks-experience given and harden the game, like Fallout3 Better Pace Mod and Welcome to the Wasteland. They work perfect, but they are detected as esm when I see them through GECK and esp when you see them in the Data folder ...

Could this be the problem? I mean, I read somewhere that using older files (before GECK) mixed with files created with GECK could screw things up ... anyone has precisions about this?

I have also active 2 weapons mods, a katanas mod and a ladies' gun mod, but I don't have even any of those at inventory when having the savegame crashes.

thanx on advance people :thanks:

That's because the ESM flag is set in the .esp's File Header. Get FO3Edit and Miax's great guide on using it. Run FO3Edit in Master Restore mode and voila! ... no more ESM flag set.

Master Update mode plays a role in stabilizing mods for Fallout3, but it is often easy to overlook running the reverse (Master Restore) before posting non-.esm files on the Nexus. :)
