My mod plan :)

In short I want to make a mod that lets a charactor be ONLY a summoner.

 

It would basicly let you summon many multiple monsters and ever NPCs, and command them.

 

Not sure if it should lower maximum mana or health per summon. Probably health.

 

Anyways the idea is that every 3 of a monsters item you get you can get an item that summons a permanent one, or you can upgrade it (For example 3 Bone Meal lets you make a skeleton, then 3 more and it goes up to the next skeleton type (Gaurdian?)). When they die they'd turn into an activtor, that disables the corpse and returns the item. (They'd also give back the lowered stats, obviously).

 

All that I can do, I think. It's not terribly hard, even though I just started modding.

 

The bit I'm not sure about it less important, but would make it more interactive.

 

I want to make spells that either make all your monsters focus on a target, all come back and defend you, or get the to all charge a spot (to send them ahead). Is this possible? And if so how would it be done? I don't have any idea how you'd tell the NPCs to do such things, let alone how the scripts would tell them.

 

I also don't know if it's possible to make a NPC that will mostly only heal other friendlys, or if that's possible.

 

And finally: I don't really know where I'll put the thing that lets you convert items. Not even sure what it would be (magic chest maybe?).

Don't add them to the playerfaction but to their own faction that's neutral to the player. When giving an attack-order, then add them to the playerfaction and when otherwise removing them again..that way they'll not attack people attacking the player unless you want to. You could play with some other script-tricks too...

This is actually way too ambitious for me.

I can't even figure out how to get MessageBoxEX to stop erroring.

I was setting it up like a normal MessageBox ("message" var1 var2 "Button1" "button 2") but it sai it didn't recognize button 1.

 

EDIT: Figured it out RIGHT after I posted. You seperate into buttons with a |.

 

EDIT2: Guess the popularity on this game died when FO3 arrived. Too bad, I like mods in this game better (what with the excuse of magic and all). Guess I'll ask one more thing:

Is there a script command to make a NPC shout about an assult? I have a script that I only want to count as a hostile action sometimes (with a random percent call)
