Necromancist
My game crashes when I try to load saves. I haven't tried making new saves with a different character yet, but I don't think it'll solve the problem. I use the following mods, in the order listed:Fallout3.esm Anchorage.esm ThePitt.esm BrokenSteel.esm PointLookout.esm Zeta.esm CALIBR.esm CRAFT.esm Ammo Bench.esm FO3 Wanderers Edition - Main File.esm Mart's Mutant Mod.esm Enhanced Weather - Rain and Snow.esm Enhanced Weather - Rain and Snow in Fallout.esp Fellout-Full.esp Fellout-Anchorage.esp Fellout-BrokenSteel.esp Fellout-pipboylight.esp CRAFT - Activation Perk.esp Ammo Bench - CRAFT Plugin.esp Ammo Bench - CALIBR.esp BoS_DX.esp Outcast DX.esp ShishkebabWithoutGlove.esp dD-Less Blood Time.esp radio_fix.esp Existence2.0.esp kikaiEquipment.esp Tailor Maid.esp Item Descriptions Img.esp FO3 Wanderers Edition - Main File.esp FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Anchorage.esp FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC The Pitt.esp FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Broken Steel.esp FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Point Lookout.esp FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Mothership Zeta.esp FO3 Wanderers Edition - Lvl 30 Balance.esp FO3 Wanderers Edition - Followers Enhanced (BrokenSteel).esp FO3 Wanderers Edition - Power Armor Revamp.esp WeaponModKits.esp WeaponModKits - FWE Master Release.esp Mart's Mutant Mod.esp Mart's Mutant Mod - DLC Anchorage.esp Mart's Mutant Mod - DLC The Pitt.esp Mart's Mutant Mod - DLC Broken Steel.esp Mart's Mutant Mod - DLC Point Lookout.esp Mart's Mutant Mod - Hunting & Looting.esp Mart's Mutant Mod - Natural Selection.esp Mart's Mutant Mod - No Wanamingos.esp Mart's Mutant Mod - No Floaters.esp Mart's Mutant Mod - Zones Respawn.esp Mart's Mutant Mod - FWE Master Release.esp Project Beauty.esp Project Beauty- MMM Raiders.esp Project Beauty- Point Lookout.esp Project Beauty- Broken Steel.esp LightweightFoodSanitizer.esp Total active plugins: 56 Total plugins: 60 I could save and load properly until I entered Underworld, then everything just went wonky for some reason. I could load a save I made outside earlier, but I was stupid enough to overwrite that. What's wrong? Also, I looked in my savegame list in FOMM and I saw 2 different autosaves and quicksaves, with one of each ending in .fos and the other in .fos.bak. The manual save didn't have such a duplicate. Is this related? EDIT: I was able to start a new game, and save/load it in every way without trouble. So the problem is probably in my other character being in Underworld. But how do I get her out of there if I can't load the game?2ND EDIT: I think I fixed it... I disabled all my mods except FWE, CRAFT, CALIBR, kikaiEquipment, Tailor Maid and WMK - I.E anything not directly related to my gear and stats. Then I went out of Underworld into the Concourse, saved, restarted the game while reenabling the mod list above, started and saved again. Seems to be working now. Necromancist
Bump to bring this back to attention... Same problem is back. Dunno what's causing it. Trying to use FO3Edit to look for errors, but I really have no idea how. Do I look through every single entry, and how do I correct what's wrong? I'll also try to use the merged patch function, but I dunno if it's going to work. EDIT: Merged patch didn't work.2ND EDIT: Found the culprit! Apparently, MMM decided it didn't want to play nice anymore. So I disabled the .esm, all .esps and Project Beauty - MMM Raiders.esp. I can load the game now at least, but it's strange that it's worked just fine before. Can someone please help me make some sense of this?
csb
Nec: Get Miax's great FO3Edit guide (a search on Miax as an author name will find it). Relying on an automatic merge patch will resolve a lot of conflicts, but it doesn't get all of them. In this case, it obviously didn't get a game-breaking one. At least you've narrowed down the culprit(s). Get Miax's guide, pay particular attention to the conflict resolution patch plug-in section (the non-automated way). Once you find the problem, try some load order changes. If that doesn't do it, add an override to the merge patch that corrects the conflict so that it isn't a fatal game-breaker (by using Copy as override into... or Deep copy as override into... and then selecting your merge patch). Hope this helps.
csb
Another thing with save games ... save into different slots each time. Otherwise, you risk corrupted save game files.
