imready86k
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Hello Readers! Let this topic die, dont bump it! I made a new topic for the revised videos. See that one instead, needs feedback.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm rather new to fraps and youtube. I recently uploaded a skyrim video and was hoping for some feedback on it. It's the start of a "series" where I installed several hardcore mods and the catch is I cannot save reload at any time.. I'm just looking for feedback.. I couldn't tell you I'm the best with the video editor yet xd. It's sort of a difficult editor too. kdenlive on ubuntu (linux). Here is Episode 1:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zrHNvmYaSIE This is the formal introduction to the series:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TpNkZCAU3OI The only thing off hand I can think needs improvement is the mic volume. I added in subtitles as a temporary fix. Correct me on this too. I'm not an expert, and fresh in youtube. josh900
Yeah that mic needs to be turned up a lot, without being able to hear you there's no way to really tell if you're doing a good job or not. A lot of the fun of watching these sorta things is listening to the person playing them, but if they're doing a bad job it really takes away from the experience, and not being able to hear them? Most people won't even bother watching the videos if the person's voice is barely audible. Subtitles aren't really a good fix either as they distract from the actual gameplay. If you can edit the sound so that your voice is easier to hear that'll be good. But if you can't this might be one of those situations where you'll need to start over again from scratch. Fixing the sound later doesn't really help if no one will finish the first video. Don't know how many times the first couple of videos had audio or visual issues that were fixed later on, but no one was left watching by that point. So get that fixed and it'll be good . No reload videos draw a decent enough crowd, especially when you add the difficulty increasing mods and the like.
imready86k
Thank you Josh! That was very helpful insight. I'll be sure to torture myself again XD. I'll leave these 2 videos up if anyone else has more feedback, but I think Josh nailed some big issues.
