Yup, another one of theese. I've not seen any smithing overhouls that meet my expectations, so here I am to beg skilled modders to make one (I would do it myself, but I lack of skill).

 

So, here we go with the details:

1. Requires Dawnguard and Dragonborn (no Hearthfire)

2. Smithing categories ordered by Races not material, it should go something like that:

 

A) Basic Smithing Perk:

- Generic Iron, Steel, Leather, Hide, Fur and Studded sets.

- It provides 3 categories: Iron, Steel and Leather (The Leather Category cointains also Studded, Hide and Fur armors).

 

B) Imperial Smithing Perk: (Imperials get this perk for free if Basic Smithing is picked)

- Imperial Heavy Armor (Imperial Gear Available to smith after joining the Imperial Legion, for Imperial Race character available from the very beginning).

- Imperial Heavy Boots

- Imperial Heavy Bracers

- Imperial Heavy Helmet

- Imperial Close Faced Helmet

- Imperial Legate Helmet (Officer's Helmet)

- Imperial Heavy Shield

- Imperial Ligh Armor

- Imperial Light Studded Armor

- Imperial Light Boots

- Imperial Light Bracers

- Imperial Light Helmet

- Imperial Light Shield

- Imperial Sword

- Imperial Bow

- Imperial Warhammer (Champion's Cudgel without enchancement)

- Blades Armor (Blades Gear available after completing "Alduin's Wall" requires Advanced Smithing)

- Blades Boots

- Blades Gauntlets

- Blades Helmet

- Blades Shield

- Akaviri Katana (aka Blades Sword)

- Akaviri Dai-Katana

- Akaviri Tanto (Ithere are some mods for both Tanto and Dai-Katana on Nexus, here they could be integrated if the mod authors agree).

 

C) Nordic Smithing Perk: (Nords get this perk for free after Basic Smithing is Picked)

- Nordic Carved Armor (Requires Advanced Smithing)

- Nordic Carved Boots

- Nordic Carved Gauntlets

- Nordic Carved Helmet

- Nordic Carved Shield

- Nordic Sword

- Nordic Greatsword

- Nordic Dagger

- Nordic Battleaxe

- Nordic Waraxe

- Nordic Mace

- Nordic Warhammer

- Nordic Bow

- Nordic Arrows

- Scaled Horn Armor (Also requires Advanced Smithing)

- Scaled Armor

- Scaled Boots

- Scaled Bracers

- Scaled Helmet

- Wolf Armor (Wolf gear aka Companions Armor available to smith after "Proving Honor")

- Wolf Boots

- Wolf Gauntlets

- Wolf Helmet

- Skyforge Weapons (Only at Skyforge Duh! Require completing Companions MQ)

- Ancient Nord Armor (Ancient Nord items are available to be smithed only by Nords at the start of the game)

- Ancient Nord Boots

- Ancient Nord Gauntlets

- Ancient Nord Helmet

- Ancient Nord Horned Helmet (Yngol's Helmet without Enchancement)

- Ancient Nord Shield (Ysgramor's shield woithout enchancement)

- Ancient Nord Weapons

- Stormcloak and Stormcloak Officer Gear available to be smithed in this category after joining Stormcloaks.

 

D) Dwemeri Smithing Perk:

- Dwemer Gear (Dwemer Crossbow and bolts included) available only after completing "Unfathomable Depths".

 

E) Advanced Smithing Perk:

- Unlocks more advanced armors and weapons to be smithed.

- Adds Crossbow to Steel Smithing Category if the Player is member of the Dawnguard and gear from that faction if joined.

- Steel Plate and Silver Weapons also added.

 

F) Altmeri Smithing Perk: (Altmer, Bosmer and Khajit players get this perk for free after getting Basic Smithing Perk)

- Elven Armour

- Elven Gilded Armor

- Elven Boots

- Elven Gauntlets

- Elven Helmet

- Elven Shield

- Elven Light Armor

- Elven Light Boots

- Elven Light Gauntlets

- Elven Light Helmet

- Elven Weaponry

- Glass Armor (Advanced Smithing Required)

- Glass Boots

- Glass Gauntlets

- Glass Helmet

- Glass Shield

- Glass Weapons

 

G) Orsimeri Smithing Perk: (Orcs get this one after Basic Smithing is purchased)

- Orcish Gear Overall

 

H) Dunmeri Smithing Perk: (This one goes to the Dark Elves)

- Bonemold Gear

- Chitin Light and Heavy Gear

- Ebony Armor (Advanced Smithing Required)

- Ebony Light Armor (A bit lighter but less protective Ebony Armor variant, looks just like Ebony Mail)

- Ebony Boots

- Ebony Gauntlets

- Ebony Helmet

- Ebony Shield

- Ebony Weaponry

 

I) Draconic Smithing Perk: (Available to purchase after completing MQ and requires Advanced Smithing)

- Dragon Bone and Scale Gear

 

J) Arcane Smithing Perk: (Unchanged, Argonians get this one after picking Basic Smithing)

 

K) Daedric Smithing Perk: (Requires Advanced Smithing and Arcane Smithing)

- Daedric Gear (Created from its Ebony Counterpert + with Daedra Heart and Grand Soul Gem filled with atleast Greater Soul, requires 100 Smithing)

- Vampire Gear (Available after joining Volkihar Vampires in DG and completing "House of Horrors" in favour of Molag Bal)

- Vampire Armor Grey

- Vampire Armor Red

- Vampire Armor Black

- Royal Vampire Armor (Unenchanted)

- Vampire Boots

- Vampire Gauntlets

- Vampire Hood (aka Serana's Hood)

- Vampire Sword (Harkon's Sword without enchantment)

- Miraak Cultist Armor (Available after DB MQ is completed, unenchanted) - Considered Light Armor

- Miraak Cultist Boots - Considered Light Armor

- Miraak Cultist Gloves - Considered Light Armor

- Mirak Cultist Mask - Considered Light Armor

- Miraak Cultist Dagger (Looks like Dragon Priest Dagger)

 

L) Misc and Jewelery unchanged.

- Argonians are able to craft 3 rings or 2 necklaces from one ingot and can craft Amulets of the Divines.

 

Stalhrim should get its own category as a reward from certain quest, requires Advanced smithing.
