Cipscis
Did you think to read the readme file? The installation is detailed in there in as much detail as you need. Cipscis

I also need help with where it says in the readme If you use a desktop shortcut to launch Fallout 3 normally, just update the shortcut to point to fose_loader.exe instead of Fallout3.exe or FalloutLauncher.exe." how do i point it to fose_loader.exe

Cipscis
No, you don't need the src folder - that contains the source code so it's only useful from a developer's point of view, although it won't do any harm to extract it as well I guess. In order to change where a shortcut points to, right-click on it and select properties, then change the path under the "Target" property under the "Shortcut" tab. For example:"C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout 3\fose_loader.exe"Cipscis
csb
Or just hold the right mouse button and drag the executable (fose_loader.exe) to the desktop and select "Create Shortcut" when the context menu comes up (i.e., by releasing the right mouse button).
