Hello, I remember coming across OOO 1.33, and in the notes, I read something very interesting.

 

Adventurers regularly explore dungeons, and they may also loot clean dungeon con

tainers. If the containers are locked, then the adventurers will use their lockpi

cks to open them. If they run out of lockpicks, they will not be able to open the

 container. Finally, OOO traps now affect adventurers as well. You now have the d

ilemma of whether to let adventurers loot containers or not. They could get rid o

f a trap for you, and receive the damage themselves, but by the same token, they 

could survive and take whatever was found inside the container.

 

To be honest, this is one of those things I think Oblivion could really use, however, I don't like the idea of having to download a 400MB mod (which puts me over my limit of 300, which if I go over, costs me extra =/) and having to deal with a bunch of other changes just for something like NPCs raiding dungeons.

 

To my knowledge, no other mod is able to do this, so I decided I'd learn and try to make my own.

 

I have no intention of stealing or pirating or whatnot, just wish to examine the items themselves in order to see how they do it.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

PS: I'd rather not use the EXE patches, as I'd rather not have the program do something that could fritz up my Oblivion.
