Okey Guys.. Anyone knows how to Activate the existed quest?

I want to help a friend and want to learn the creating of a simple mod with a simple quest.

I did do the quest descriptions and settings in the Quest Dialogue but what troubled me is that the Quest can not start.. I didn't know how to set that and now too.

I've learnt how to set the Stage and Property and Topic in the Quest dialogue and the Complete Quest situation and The Script inside that textbox.

I've seen some quest start or activate with "item ADD" event that can be edited in Script editer.

That is , how to start it.. i didn't know about the rendering window and i didn't know how to use an modder's item to add that quest. [i even cannot use it to add one crate in the mod]

So please not tell me "Add an item and use its item script to add that quest".

Is there any other ways to obtain that? Thx to u all. [can Quest dialogue activate it? or only the Script editer have chance?]

If you want to learn to mod you'll first have to learn to be friend of the CS wiki. Yeah, sometimes it's a bit chaotic and incomplete, and it's full of copy-pasted articles, but there's also a lot of useful info there. To your question:

 

Quests may start:

1 - from the beginning of the game if we've checked the 'game start enabled' flag.

2 - as a result of a command line with either the 'startQuest' or 'setStage' command.

 

Thoose commands can be written and will be processed:

1 - in the quest script

2 - in any other script (ie attached to an object, etc)

3 - in any 'result script' box

 

So yes, you can start a quest from a dialogue. There may be more ways to start a quest but this should suffice.

I fetched one copy of The CSWiki Backup then. The Online contents costs me really great time to search and get no correct answer.

After all i've find the answer in the "Script" "QUEST seting" and other little articles and i find none in "QUEST"... It's really chaotic..-_-|||

Thx to ur answer and i activated it now then.

However i often find Google Custom Search and some Offline Index much helpful than the CS Wiki.. Why?

Even one LQ Video that includes the content will solve the problem but CS Wiki not.. I have nothing to say now..
