I've been using FO3Edit and it has been a horribly great! I made a stable "merged patch" and I've been playing for about an hour and a half and I've had no crashes...yet. But I'm still waiting for that one devistating crash due to a conflict that snuck in. So, if any of you mod experts wouldn't mind taking a look at my mod order and seeing if there are any finishing touch-ups you could show me, I'd greatly appreciate it. mooncarver Posted October 23, 2009 Share Posted October 23, 2009 i guess this won't cause you much trouble, but i would suggest to leave only one gnr file checked, depending on how many tracks you downloaded. oh yeah, and don't lose your cool if the game still crashes back to desktop now and then. as long as this doesn't happen every 5 minutes or causes game breaking bugs, of course ;) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
csb Posted October 24, 2009 Share Posted October 24, 2009 It is highly suspected that Fallout3 has a built in getRandomCrash(int Random()) function ... :D But to get a conflict-free gaming experience you need two things. Fallout Mod Manager (FOMM) by Timeslip and FO3Edit by ElministerAU. And, of course you need Miax's great guiide on using the later. Wait ... you have THREE things to fear from the ... (oops, sorry a Monty Python lapse :D ) ... Anyway, Miax's guide to using FO3Edit is invaluable in finding and resolving mod conflicts.
