Faust870
Now first off, I should say I'm a Pink Floyd nut... This Saturday I'm going to see Comfortably Numb, which is Canada's note-for-note Pink Floyd Tribute Band... they are well known all across Canada so they must be good... sadly I have to go to Toronto for this, and there is a lot of hand-gun crime in Toronto (52 murders with guns in 2005). Then on April 10th, I'm going to see David Gilmour, which was Pink Floyds lead guitarist and vocalist,... so I'm really stoked about that :)... I can't wait to see David Gilmour, this is the closest I'll ever be to seeing Pink Floyd... and its no where close :(...
wraithguard01
Well, I believe I speak for all in saying... I hope you're not shot....
Faust870
Yeah, you and me both... I've kinda joked around about getting shot and all... but in all reality... its a serious issue... and it somewhat worries me to be going  ... but hell if I could at least make it to the second concert (David Gilmour) and get shot after it, I'd die happy! 8)
Faust870
Well here I am, alive and well :P, and I can't find any bullet holes either . Comfortably Numb was amazing, I found out they are one of the top 3 tribute bands in the world... I don't know what the other two are however... They played a retrospect of Pink Floyd, touching on a little bit of everything... We had to stand for the whole concert, it was general admission so there were no seats... it was about 3 hours long. Now being a Pink Floyd nut, I am very critical when it comes to tributes... I noticed almost everything that they did wrong, but I was very pleased on how minor the mistakes were... cutting a few words shorter than they should have been, a few improper notes on the guitar,... but apart from that AMAZING!.. The lead guitarist and singer for the tribute band did a good job on vocals, he sounded almost identical to Roger Waters... but when his voice didn't exactly do the trick when he was singing songs that David Gilmour sings... but hey, not everyone is perfect :P Now I have to wait until April 10th to see the real David Gilmour... I can't wait after tonight!
