Hello guys.. and girls...

So ive finally gotten around to install fallout with all the DLCs and mods...

and here I am ready to embark on my biggest adventure evuuuuur.. except that one time I went to buy ice cream but ended in me saving the world (you guys might have seen it? transformers was based on it *wink wink*)

no but seriously now, help meeeeeee!

so the game starts and everything is fineee! except some stuff:

laggy even though it has run smooothly before.. my fps is alot lower for some reason :( ive put graphics down to medium which helped alittle i think... it still get laggy sometimes though... like during loading screen i think its gonna crash.. even if it doesnt... :P and sometimes it just freezes/laggs alot but it goes away after a while... this I can live it...

but the real problem is that the client shuts down/crashes every 15minutes or so...

it doesnt go "Fallout 3 isnt responding" it just shuts down...

il attach my DXDIAG and load order...

thanks for any help...

(putting load order and DXDIAG in text documents-attachments since it would cover your screens with walls of texts otherwise... im a nice guy! :whistling: )

:thanks:

yours truly,

Rappakalja

A few things that can help:

Get the K-Lite codec package and install. This disables fddshow (there are other features of K-Lite, but it's this one that FO3 players are concerned with). Disabling fddshow gets rid of a lot of problems for many Fallout3 players.

If you notice it getting quite laggy, go to the console (~) and type "pcb" (without the quotes). This purges all the cell buffer info in memory. This sometimes works and sometimes doesn't, but it's always worth a try.

If you don't have them, get Timeslip's Fallout Mod Manager (FOMM) and ElminsterAU's FO3Edit. Get Miax's great FO3Edit Guide - Web-enized. This will help you set your load order, find and detect mod conflicts and resolve them. This will give you a less crash-prone gaming experience.

Hope this helps! :)
