GarglingGlass Posted October 27, 2009 Share Posted October 27, 2009 For some reason, some mod I have, quests where I can't move and teleport don't work. For Tranquility Lane, whenever I would get into the terminal, the screen would go white but then fade back to sitting there leaving me unable to do anything. I had to console my way through the quest. First I left all my crap in a locker so I didn't lose it, cuz I was going to. Then before I got in the pod I CoC'd to TL. I then had to CoC out when I was done there and pick up all my stuff. This worked. My dad got out and talked to me. But now I just got the G.E.C.K. When I'm leaving Vault 87 and the Enclave throw the flashbang, it fades back to me standing there alone unable to do anything, surprise surprise. So I'm trying to console my way through it. First I finish the quest I'm on in console, then before the Enclave show up, I CoC to Raven Rock (RavenRock04) I could not talk to the president so I unlocked the escape door with the console and went outside. Outside I finished that quest with the console (which I never even officially started so it's not on my quest list) and added the FEV. So now I'm outside Raven Rock, have the G.E.C.K. and the FEV Virus. But when I go to the Citadel nothing happens. I tried to resetquest the last quest but again, nothing happens. Consoling is the only way I can get through this. I have CASM so I have saves before all this started to happen. I could use some help. I just want to finish with Raven Rock, have the virus, have the G.E.C.K. and have something happen when I go back to the Citadel. Please help. 3rdtryguy Posted October 27, 2009 Share Posted October 27, 2009 You shouldn't still have the GECK at the time you get back to the Citadel. Colonel Autumn is supposed to take it with him on his Vertibird to install it on the purifier while you are walking back to base. Having it in your inventory messes up everything. Still nothing happens. I think it's because I wasn't able to do any of the Raven Rock shiz on my own and had to add the FEV--no explosion, and no Fawkes outside. I think what I need to do exactly is skip from just before the flashbang to right after I'm released from being frozen in Raven Rock and get all my crap back. Make it so I'm never frozen, never lose my stuff and don't miss any quest items that don't pertain to either of those things. From just before the flashbang, I can CoC to RavenRock01. But when I get to the president in RR04 I can't do anything with him. It's because I'm not on that quest. No one would happen to know why (or what mod rather..) makes this glitch where you can't do anything happen, would you? If it's not important, I'll just ditch it. Save from posting my whole load order that is. Surely I'm not the only one to have it happen. The summary: Console to complete "Finding the Garden of Eden" and "The American Dream", have the FEV, GECK removed via console, and nothing happening at the Citadel. GarglingGlass Posted October 27, 2009 Author Share Posted October 27, 2009 Yes, I do have FOOK2. I think I've solved the problem tho with a little tweaking to my strategy. Before I walked into the flashbang, I removed the GECK via console then completed that quest. I then CoC'd to RavenRock02 this time. This let me talk to Anna Holt and Autumn (Autumn talked to me like I was still locked up). Neither of these started a quest, but after this I was able to make my way to the president who actually talked to me this time and unlocked the door. This conversation started the American Dream quest (which I suppose is how it always works..) Whether or not Fawkes will be outside, or anything is happening at the Citadel, is unknown to me yet because I crashed in the next hallway, no biggy. When I load up from that autosave, I'll see, but I think this is going to work now. I couldn't have done it without that G.E.C.K. code so thanks a ton Fredyzg. Kudos to you. And right after the main quest when I'm laying in bed (this time I can't even look around, just sit with my head bobbing). And I'm running 1.7 too. Ugh, is this whole game going to be a fight?
