icearcher3
Hello all,I am interested in taking up modding and from what I know making a house or dungeon or shop is the simplest way to do so. I have some questions here I would like to ask and I am sure you guys know the answer. Question 1:Is it illegal to copy textures, meshes from the proper game itself ? Question 2:Is making NPCs for your mod like character creation in the game? Question 3:Can someone help me with dialog for my first mod? Question 4:How do you make a merchant chest or is this too advanced for my knowledge of modding? Question 5:Will someone keep answering my questions when I need help for modding ? My idea for a mod is to have a vampire merchant in the waterfront district (garden of dareloth). There is a small basement trapdoor there but it cannot open. Maybe i can make it open and copy a room from a nearby shack and just paste it there.i attached a pic of were i want it :thanks: icearcher3 reply soon email [email protected]

Pronam
Hehe, well I got it quite busy concerning large projects. One of them is called Project Oblivion..but that one is closed to the public..the other is Empires Glory. As I'm the lead mod I'm stubborn and don't have the signature with a link, but you'll spot my team-members here eventually. But you can always as me for something unless you're planning a new world to build :).. Damaging...well unless you do something very stupid..I wouldn't call it damage but bugging..the nice thing about oblivion is that's kinda built for crashes..so you'll not have anything permanent and you can just disable your mods whenever you want to. However, if your brother is too worried.. you could still run two installs, but you'll need to read this article as you can't install it per user. It's a sort of bait and switch trick. (Highlighted words usually contain links at this forum.) If you'd target at clean modding the best way would just be for me to see the result later as you need to make these mistakes before I can explain them.
