simon445 Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 So I just played oblivion for 2 solid hours, and then had a CTD ( total immersion killer, lol) and being as I am an xbox chump I come to you PC masters, to ask whether or not CTD's are just a fact of life, or if I need to look into possibly having mod conflicts? I also read somewhere just now ( after CTD) that if you have autosave enabled that it will cause problems. True or false? If so should I also disable stream save? Thanks again for all the help. Simon

Simonyes, for all of us unfortunately.Just do your best to minimise them.Shut down all programs running in the back ground, disable auto-save on rest and fast travel
Ramziez Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 I found that Windom Earle_s Oblivion Crash Prevention System works really well at stopping CTD. I gets rid of a lot of different problems like crash on exit, crash on loading, and the occasionally crash on entering stuff. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22282 Heres the link I highly recommend you get this if your game crashes frequently.
