DylanF1
Hello, I was wondering if anyone could make a custom Desert Ranger Combat Armor with detailed pants, a helmet with no writing on it and snake skin boots instead of regular boring ones! I feel like they would've worn something more survivalistic and whatnot. Boots and pants like the ones on the far left, from a project from dragbody. http://static-3.nexusmods.com/15/images/130/2803386-1382205789.jpg

For the new textures for pants and shirt you'll have to get permission or find some public domain textures. Might be able to swap a retextured version of Daniels shirt that may come close to resemebling the ones in teh pics though. I'd have to look at it when I get home. DylanF1
Oh I didn't really want the shirt like that! The helmet and boots are exactly what I wanted! The pants I already have covered, with another mod, that I forgot I had! If you could retexture the boots and helmet that would be great man! OK I'll get back to you when I get home, but you should probably give me a heads up on the mod you use to change the pants so we can see if it's compatible. Most likely if it's only texture swap that will have to be included in the nif I make (or the texture set) otherwise it will have to be one or the other (ie just the pants or just the helmet and boots). But if you give me a heads up on the pants I can integrate them all together for you.
DylanF1
The mod I use is CR-HD V3 for a complete retexture of the Desert Ranger Combat Armor. I would just want the helmet to have no writing on it, and some snakeskin boots for more of a unique feel to the armor
DylanF1
If you want to retexture the helmet, and boots, it would be much appreciated!

DylanF1
Yeah, that is true. Would you need to integrate the CR-HD V3 mod into it, for it to even work?
devinpatterson
Yeah, that is true. Would you need to integrate the CR-HD V3 mod into it, for it to even work? I can't retexture the helmet if the CR-HD V3 mod provides a new texture. It's somebody else's work and I can't change it unless there is permission, but I can re-texture the vanilla one to take the numbers off. Ditto on the boots, but I can add a new mesh (swap out Joshaua Grahams boots) so that if the CR-HD V3 mod texture is a replacer it won't touch the new rattleskin texture. devinpatterson
Here is the new texture for the helmet without writing. Drop it in the textures\nvdlc02\armor\desertrangerarmor folder overwriting the old one (if you have trouble with that I can make you a bsa to do it automatically).
