Eledrith
The answer is simple: merely right-click the Loader file and click Troubleshoot compatibility, which on my Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit edition is the 4th option, let Windows check it over and it will set compatibility mode and Fallout 3 WILL RUN! Zigomar7
With Windows 10, the fallout.ini is not created when you try to start the game (crashes before that can happen), the solution i found is to copy the fallout_default.ini (from install directory where you find fallout.exe) as fallout.ini in <username>\Documents\MyGames\Fallout3 (folder created when you run fallout3_launcher.exe). After that you can run "Games for Windows LIVE Disabler.exe" or FOMM and tweaker to "Use fake xlive.dll" as mentionned earlier here. the3rdantichrist
this is crap nobody uses FOMM anymore and from what ive found NMM does NOT support this option. so for anyone RECENTLY having this issue the only fix is to find a "xlive.dll" that does work and just replace the old one. Blue64
Needed this to install the Official Patch to use a bunch of Mods I wanted. Thanks for the Help! I shall Reverse-Pickpocket a Mini-Nuke :whistling: onto a (possibly Feral, possibly not) Ghoul in your Honor  I am trying the Official route first (Link still works currently!)
