memac89 Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 First, thank you to all the modders out there making this game great. would've stopped playing skyrim a long time ago, were it not for you. I have a specific question: what combination of mods should I use to get 1) a lowered quiver AND 2) a shield on the PC's back? I've seen custom skeletons out there, but I'm not sure if any are updated to the present day, and I think some combination of xp32, dual sheath redux, equipping overall, and/or the frostfall quiver + animation will do it, but I think a couple of these would conflict. does anyone know what would work, or what order they should be installed in to get the overwrites in properly? and if this should be in the "mod requests" area, my apologies. thanks! PS--somewhat related--I've had a lot of clipping with bows and shields on back. is there another mod around other than the various weapon movement mods that would help move the shield farther from the back when a bow is equipped? dual sheath does this only when a cloak is equipped.
chanchan05 Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Frostfall has the belt fastened quivers add on. Have you tried that?
memac89 Posted April 18, 2014 Author Posted April 18, 2014 Doesn't that have a skeleton replacer that would invaldiate xp32 and dual sheath redux?
chanchan05 Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Not sure about that. AFAIK it only moves the nodes, and should be compatible with most skeletons. You'll have to check out the mod page and ask there: look for Belt-Fastened Quivers.
DeltaWulf Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 (edited) Use XP32's skeleton with frostfall (or chesko's) quiver positioning, install Dual Sheath Redux next, then Immersive Animations for the belt-fastened quiver animation (I believe it can be downloaded stand alone from the Belt-Fastened Quivers mod page, also). When DSR asks to overwrite the skeletons, choose no. If that doesn't work, then allow it to overwrite. Some combination of those three will allow you to have shield/swords on back and the belt fastened quiver at the same time, though.I learned it through experience and just installing the mods in different orders until it worked. It might take some experimentation. I believe I asked this same exact question some time back, though, it can be kind of hard to figure out. Edited April 18, 2014 by DeltaWulf
