Kodiak412
Any GECK experts out there? I have an old mod that has long since been abandoned, and the author has left. In the mod were some different ammo types and a couple of different guns. The mod has a tremendous amount of other material in it, and really changes the game more than I like. Is there a way to pull out the items that I would like use, save that file as something else and use this new mod with just a few of the items that I wanted to keep. This is for personal use and I have no intention of presenting this anywhere, but I would like to replay with some of the new ammo and guns and not have all the other stuff. Any help or direction to any tutorial that achieve what I am looking for will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Helixien
Is there custom asset? Like new nifs? Or is the mod only using modified vanilla content? EDIT: If it is using custom content created from the original author, you have to ask him first. I think I should mention that.
Kodiak412
No it is some custom work that the mod author created. However on his mods he has stated that he will no longer be supporting the mods and that they are free to use for the modding community. He left some time ago. However I do not plan on ever releasing this as a community mod and this is strictly for personal use.
AxlDave
Try using FONVEdit to copy the relevant entries as new records into a new mod.

Kodiak412
I've never used FONVEdit but I will have to give it a try. Is it easy to identify the items in the mod that I would want to use. For instance in the GECK you have a scroll down menu on the left. This lets you find specific items and alter the values if you would like. Does FONVEdit work something like that? Any elaboration on the procedure would be a huge help and greatly appreciated. Thanks Axl and Whiskey!
